This shoot happened in September 2020, at a time when everyone’s plans were put on hold. Erin and Ben had been together for many years and always dreamed of  a big Muskoka getaway wedding with all of their family and friend’s. This celebration had already been put on hold twice due to life events like bringing their son into the world, but it was finally their time! The plans were set, the dress was purchased and Ben, who is from the UK, was so excited to see all the faces he had been missing and then COVID happened. Like many other couples who were excited to call 2020 their year, they were heartbroken and defeated. Enter the wedding coordinator who just wasn’t having it!

After approaching a local venue (The Gate House) that has a similar vibe to their original venue in Muskoka, I devised a plan to give Erin & Ben the wedding photos they deserved. With the help and generosity of some of Niagara’s best vendors, we put on a styled shoot that had all the realness of a wedding day. I took all of our plans and brought them to fruition with a little help with some friends and the photos were everything!! Erin finally got to wear her dress and Ben finally got to see it!! That moment was one for the books. This shoot had all the feels of a wedding day and I will always be grateful to have been a part of it.
